Psalm 56 - A Call for God's Protection

1Be merciful to me, O God, for man would swallow me up; Fighting all day he oppresses me.
2My enemies would hound me all day, For there are many who fight against me, O Most High.
3Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.
4In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?
5All day they twist my words; All their thoughts are against me for evil.
6They gather together, They hide, they mark my steps, When they lie in wait for my life.
7Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God!
8You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book?
9When I cry out to You, Then my enemies will turn back; This I know, because God is for me.
10In God (I will praise His word), In the Lord (I will praise His word),
11In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
12Vows made to You are binding upon me, O God; I will render praises to You,
13For You have delivered my soul from death. Have You not kept my feet from falling,
That I may walk before God In the light of the living?

Psalms 103:6
The Lord executes righteousness
And justice for all who are oppressed.

A Prayer for protection against evil

Our Holy Father in Heaven, we enter your gates with thanksgiving, and into your courts with praise, we are thankful to you and bless your great name. (Ps 100:4)
Let the Lord be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. And my tongue shall speak of your righteousness and of your praise all the day long. (Ps 35:27-28)
Therefore having boldness, to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus. (Heb 10:19)
Lord, we understand that we are in a battle and that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Eph 6:12)
Lord, we humbly pray for your protection. We pray that you would rescue us from the evil around us.
We pray for protection from evil spirits, demons, fallen angels and other unseen things in the spiritual realm, who are working day and night to destroy us. (Eph 6:12)
My eyes are upon You, O God the Lord; In you I take refuge; Do not leave my soul destitute. Keep me from the snares they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity. Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I escape safely. (Ps 141:8-10)
We pray that you would release, dispatch and deploy your warring angels to fight battles, to fight against your enemies Lord, and those that seek to destroy us in these evil times.
For you O Lord, shall give your angels charge over us, to keep us in all our ways. In their hands they shall bear us up, lest we dash our foot against a stone. (Ps 91:11-12)
Lord, cut down like the grass, the workers of iniquity and evildoers (Ps 37:2)
Lord, we pray for the day that the wicked who have drawn the sword and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to slay those who are of upright conduct, that their sword shall enter their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. (Ps 37:12-15)
Lord may the wicked perish and the enemies of the Lord, like the splendor of the meadows, vanish
into smoke, may they vanish away. (Ps 37:20)
Lord, you are our strength in the time of trouble, and you Lord shall deliver us from the wicked, and save us because we trust in you (Ps 37:39-40).
Plead my cause, O Lord, with those who strive with me; Fight against those who fight against me.
Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help. Also draw out the spear, And stop those who pursue me. Say to my soul, “I am your salvation.” (Ps 35:1-3)
Let those be put to shame and brought to dishonor, who seek after my life; Let those be turned back and brought to confusion who plot my hurt. Let them be like chaff before the wind, And let the angel of the Lord chase them. Let their way be dark and slippery, and let the angel of the Lord pursue them. For without cause they have hidden their net for me in a pit, Which they have dug without cause for my life. Let destruction come upon him unexpectedly, and let his net that he has hidden catch himself; into that very destruction let him fall. (Ps 35:4-8)
O Lord, do not keep silence. O Lord, do not be far from me. Stir up Yourself, and awake to my vindication, to my cause, my God and my Lord. Vindicate me, O Lord my God, according to Your righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me. Let them not say in their hearts, “Ah, so we would have it!” Let them not say, “We have swallowed him up.” Let them be ashamed and brought to mutual confusion who rejoice at my hurt; let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who exalt themselves against me. (Ps 35:22-26)
Give ear to my prayer, O God, and do not hide Yourself from my supplication. Attend to me, and hear me; I am restless in my complaint, and moan noisily. Because of the voice of the enemy, Because of the oppression of the wicked; Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues, for I have seen violence and strife in the city. ( Ps 55:1-3)
Let death seize them; let them go down alive into hell, for wickedness is in their dwellings and among them. As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.
He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, for there were many against me. God will hear, and afflict them, even He who abides from of old. Selah. ( Ps 55:15-19)
But You, O God, shall bring them down to the pit of destruction; Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; But I will trust in You. ( Ps 55:23)

The Whole Armor of God – Ephesians 6:10-20

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Lord, move my heart - 2 March 2022

Lord, move my heart and soul with a love for you.
Give me your everlasting love, joy and peace. Your everlasting presence.
O, to be present in your Kingdom, even today.
How you refresh me. Even in this darkness. Even in this uncertainty and time of great tribulation.
You carry me. You strengthen me, my rock, my shield, my fortress.
There is no other. Lord, there is none like You.
Who can hold this world in the palm of their hand?
Who can call parts of the body to work together as one?
Who gives sight to the blind, but the one who made the eye?
Every detail of life falls into place, at Your very breath, Your spoken Word.
O Lord, how great You are.
Almighty Lord, exceedingly beyond and above any man, any thought.
We are but a vapour and our thoughts, fleeting.
How we try to capture You in a bottle. Freeze You into our space and time.
But Lord, You are infinitely greater than our human conception of who You are.
Mighty, powerful, loving, Heavenly Father, You search for the lost until he comes back home, into Your loving arms. You change the hearts of sinners and cleanse the hearts of saints.
O, Lord, You place a rhythm in our hearts and a rhyme in our souls.
You have set our tongues on fire to speak of Your great holiness.
How You draw us into Your loving embrace and fill our cups with Your goodness and mercy.
How You reach us from Your very throne, dimensions away.
Yet, we are always in Your thoughts and we can invite You into our presence, any time we want.
Who can fathom You, O Lord? Higher than man and greater than all.
